General Manager

Amanda joined Morton & Morton with a diverse personal and professional background. Growing up in an itinerant expat family she has lived all over the Middle East, England and Scotland. On finishing school she volunteered for a year teaching English in rural Honduras. Returning to the UK for her studies, Amanda graduated from Edinburgh University with an Honours Degree in Social Anthropology. Heading for the bright lights of London, she worked in Westminster as an Event and Conference organiser where she learnt how to deliver excellent service under fast paced pressure, as well as developing a fine eye for detail.

Arriving in Australia in 2004, Amanda cut her teeth in property working on the Monument building in Surry Hills for Multiplex Development (now Brookfield). Joining Morton & Morton in 2005, Amanda was excited to join an expanding and driven company that provided a lot of challenges and opportunities and to learn business skills from Ewan Morton, an energetic and charismatic leader.

Having begun her property career at Morton & Morton as a Property Manager, Amanda soon rose through the ranks to take on the demanding role of General Manager. Amanda relishes in the variety that the everyday provides, as well as the constant evolution of skills, systems and challenges that arises in the pursuit to provide the best real estate service in Sydney.

Amanda has also developed extensive knowledge in all aspects of the Morton & Morton business. From Property Management, through Sales, HR and Finance Operations, Amanda is driven by exceptionally high standards for both herself and her team. With a brain for systems, Amanda is always looking to be efficient and streamlined in all that she and her team deliver. On the flip side, Amanda is also a real people person who is skilled at reading emotions and being able to communicate with clients in the best way possible.

Amanda is a bubbly and competitive person who has settled easily into life as a Sydneysider and when not working, can be found packing up the tent and exploring rural NSW or enjoying the Northern Beaches lifestyle with her Irish husband by her side.
