Rosalyn and I have asked Lea Turner to sell three houses for us in the past few years, our family home in Greenwich, my parents home in Killara and our dear departed friend’s house in Holdsworth Ave, St Leonards.
We requested theta the Greenwich house be sold by private treaty in 2006. In some ways it was not an easy deal to get done. Lea had to work very hard on it and we were very satisfied with the result she got for us.
The Killara house sale came at a difficult time in the housing market in the second half of 2008. We agreed with Leas recommendations that were to go to Auction and marketed the property extensively. Our marketing was tailored to the popularity of the house in this area and was less extensive than the previous two house sales. The response was overwhelming. Lea worked long hours keeping in touch with and encouraging all potential buyers. There was active bidding at the Auction and we achieved well above our price expectations.

We first met James whilst inspecting several properties in the Pyrmont area whilst we were looking to buy a new home. His level of professionalism, honesty and personable nature immediately struck us, and we felt a genuine level of trust with him that we did not feel with many other agents. As potential buyers, we felt that we were important, with James always letting know of suitable properties becoming available without the level of contact becoming pushy or invasive.
Thus when we decided to sell our existing property, he was the only agent we wanted to put our trust in.

- $70 more per week than I expected, equating to a 12% higher yield.

When it was closer to being finished, he took a couple of people through for a sneak peak to get a good gauge on what I might get for it and maybe even secure a tenant without having to put it on the market.
As soon as I said it was ready to show, Gerard organised a photographer immediately and put it straight on the web. I thought the property was worth about $430 per week as the neighbouring apartment in nearly as good a condition had recently rented for $370. Gerard pushed me to go for $500, which I was very hesitant to do, especially so close to Christmas, and nearly made him reduce it to $450.
The first two prospects to view (when there were still tools in all the cupboards) both applied and within two days another person applied, all for the advertised price ($500pw). All were quality prospects with high incomes and plenty of cash in the bank. Despite the fact that it was almost definite that a lease would be signed with one of the prospects, he continued to show the flat just in case. Each time he showed the apartment he would call me straight away and give me a full run down on how it went and his thoughts on the tenants.
Even after the flat had been rented, Gerard would call me and let me know any feedback he had received from the tenants.
Through the entire process I had absolutely no doubt that Gerard had my very best interests at heart. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to lease their property, and will be sure to employ him again in the future.

I would like to bring your attention to and congratulate you on having a very fine agent Monique Cumerlato. As you must be aware there are a lot of issues with this block and the work/tasks undertaken by Monique is beyond her call of duties.
As you can appreciate, people are wary of real estate agents, me inclusive. However, after many dealings with Monique, I am very impressed. She always seems to have all the information requested of her at hand, very professional in her dealing to get my unit rented, as there are water damage issue at the moment. She is aware of all the work and timeframe of these works to be carried out in this problematic block. Like I said, the tasks undertaken by her is more than that of an agent trying to lease out my unit.
